The RealDeal is an innovative online tool that lets you, the customer, and your Automotive Avenues Sales Consultant see how the vehicle you are interested in purchasing compares to all the other similar vehicles within a specified distance from the dealership.

When you make use of the “RealDeal” at Automotive Avenues, you’ll get real time price comparisons for all available vehicles by make, model, year, equipment and mileage within the Denver Metro area.
The RealDeal is operated nationwide by a third party, vAuto.com and gives you a completely objective picture of the marketplace.

“With RealDeal's FREE Pre-Owned Price Check Report you will see live and objective pricing information that shows how our price competes with the prices of matching vehicles currently available for sale in the Denver area,” says Bill Green, General Manager of Automotive Avenues.

Bill Reidy, Sales Director, vAuto, Inc., which developed and operates the RealDeal technology, explains how RealDeal gets its information:

“RealDeal gathers data from an extensive live network of online sources and delivers it in easy to understand format,” says Reidy. “On the computer, with RealDeal, first you’ll see details on the vehicle you’re considering complete with specifications and any images. Then, RealDeal runs a live scan of your local market to identify matching vehicles so you can make an objective comparison.”

How RealDeal Works:

“Let’s say you’re interested in purchasing a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LT with an entertainment system that Automotive Avenues has in its inventory. And you want to see how many similar cars, with exactly the same equipment, are in the marketplace within a 200 mile radius of Automotive Avenues.”

“Our system, RealDeal, goes out and finds every single vehicle on any website with that same equipment and same configuration and sorts them from the standpoint of price and model to determine the market average. RealDeal then shows you whether Automotive Avenues’ price is a good price, or a high price or a low price against the market average.”

“So, RealDeal is really a collaboration tool that allows the consumer and the dealer to both be realistic about the price they are negotiating,” says Reidy.

Does the dealer or the customer select the radius?

When the customer is sitting with a Sales Consultant at Automotive Avenues, he/she can define the radius that they look at.

“Generally you want to find a fair set of cars to review. If you set a radius of 15 miles and you only find 2 or 3 comparable cars, you’re obviously going to want to expand the radius. If you set the radius at 20 miles and RealDeal turns up 200 cars, you may want to lower the radius distance quite a bit. Generally, it’s best to compare 25 to 50 vehicles, so you want to experiment to find a radius that has the system turning up a number of vehicles somewhere in that range.”
